It is true that Italy has 6 points and is already through group stage but it is also true that if they show al lot against Belgium they show much less against Sweden and hardly win 1-0. Ireland on other side draw with Sweden and lost to Belgium 3-0 and for them in this match count only win. If they draw or lose they go home.
Italy national team is lead by Antonio Conte and we know they will play defence and from then other things happen. On goal there are two options Sirigu and experienced Buffon who is 38 years old. Defence consist of Juve central defenders Chiellini and Bonucci. There is also Matteo Darmian from Manchester United. Midfield is solid with experienced Thiago Motta from PSG, De Rossi and Florenzi from Roma. Strongest part is attack where they have wingers Candreva from Lazio, Insigne from Napoli, El Shaarawy from Roma and Bernardeschi from Fiorentina. As striker they can us Zaza from Juventus, Eder from Inter, Pelle from Southampton and Immobile from Torino. They are all more or less on same level but also all are solid striker. You see Italy has competative team but no big stars and this sometimes can be advantage.
Ireland team is lead by Martin O Neill. He has some solid players in lineup. On goal there is Westwood but he is not some big plus for Irealnd team. Defence is much better with Aston Villa Ciaran Clark, Norwich Robbie Brady and Everton Seamus Coleman. In midfield best players is also Everton James McCarthy, but support of Glenn Whelan from Stoke and David Meyler from Hull City will also be walcome. In attack best is for sure Southampton Shane Long that will have support of WBA winger McClean and experienced Stoke City winger Walters.
We could see some boring match. If Italy play like against Sweden all in defence and try only some qick attacks Ireland has no chance to break them by play and this way Ireland won possesion and final score is 0-0 or 1-0 for Italy. Only chance for Ireland is that ITaly decide 6 points are enough and relax little bit in this match then Ireland has small chance. But I think in end Italy will win this one.
