Russia did not end group phase in best way but this is match that is important as now there are no bacups in case they lost. Spain on other side show solid football so we could see really interesting match.
One of biggest football nations of recent big competitions will be lead by Julen Lopetegui and his goal will be to form a team out of many star players.
On goal they have one of best keepers of the world no doubt with David de Gea.
In defence they also have great players Gerard Pique, Ramos, Azpilicueta from Chelsea, Alba, Carvajal. This are all top class players but where it could be some problem is that half are from Real and other half from Barcelona and we know specially Pique is proud Catalonian and I think harmony in team will not be at top level.
Their midfield is even stronger then defence. Atletico duo Saul Niguez and Koke with Sergio Busquets are all great in defence and any midfiled will have problem playing with them. Beside this trio there are also Thiago from Bayern, Isco from Real and experienced Iniesta.
Attack is maybe most problematic again for Spanish team. But Asensio show some good form in Real, Diego Costa has lot of experience and Rodrigo from Valencia also show some good form.
Russia is host for World Cup 2018 and they invest lot of money into team to prepare as good as possible for this event. Team is lead by coach Stanislav Cherchesov. When we look at their rooster we see that on goal they have really solid Igor Akinfeev and he can bring some value to Russia team.
Defence is maybe even weakest part of Russia team. Giorgi Jikia from Spartak, Schennikov from CSKA and Smolnikov from Zenit are most noticable players that play in defence. It is true that they can still performe well but I think this is little disadvantage for Russia.
In midfield coach has bigger choice and many solid players like Aleksandr Golovin and Alan Dzagoev from CSKA, Oleg Shatov from Krasnodar or Denis Glushakov from Spartak Moscow. There is also talanted Aleksey Miranchuk from Lokomotiv Moscow.
For central striker they have two really good options in Fedor Smolov from Krasnodar and Aleksandr Kokorin rom Zenit. There is also experienced Artem Dzyuba from CSKA. They are little bit weak on winger positions but they use formation where they do not need wingers.
I think best way in this match is to go after over goals as both teams show solid scoring form so far on this world cup. Over 2.5
